40 Beauty Questions

If you didn't already know, much of my love for this blog came from watching so many youtube videos! This tag is REALLY old, but I really like all of the questions and how in depth it is. Of course, I tag any of you who want to do this, and be prepared for a long post... :)

-How many times do you wash your face daily?
1-2 times a day! I don't like to be too harsh with my skin, so sometimes in the morning I'll just use my Boots Expert Sensitive Gentle Refreshing Toner (my absolute favorite).

-What skin type do you have? (dry, oily, combo)

-What is your current facial wash?
I'm almost done with the Clinique Rise Off Foaming Cleanser - I like it but I don't love it. I think there are great products at the drugstore that work just as well!

-Do you exfoliate?
2-3 times a week I like to exfoliate at night.

-What brand do you use?
I use the Mary Kay Skinvigorate Cleansing Brush which my mom bought for only $25 - I've never tried the Clarisonic, but it's a great product that has a fast speed with a gentle brush.

-What moisturizer do you use?
Daytime - Olay Complete Defense Oil Free spf 30 moisturizer Nightime - Boots Expert Anti-Blemish Night Moisturizer

-Do you have freckles?
No but I wish I did - they're so cute!

-Do you use eye cream?
No not yet...I've been debating to invest in one, but right now I use the Garner Skin Renew Anti Puff Eye Roller which is always nice and cold.

-Do you or did you have acne prone skin?
During middle school and the beginning of high school it was much worse, but recently it has gotten much better. (I've been drinking a ton of water!)

-Did you ever have to use Pro-activ?
Does using my brother's pro-active toner a couple times count haha

-What foundation do you use?
I rarely wear foundation, but if I do I mix the Cargo One Base and L'Oreal Magic Nude to get the correct shade.

-How about concealer?
Laura Mercier Secret Concealer and L'oreal's Magic Lumi for under my eyes mostly.

-Do you know your undertone color?

-What do you think of fake eyelashes?
I think they're beautiful as long as they look natural, the corners aren't sticking up, and aren't worn too often -they can trap bacteria and be harmful to your eyes.

-Did you know that you are suppose to change your mascara every 3 months?
Sadly, yes. The three months pass by so fast!

-What brand of mascara do you use?
L'oreal's Telescopic Waterproof Shocking Extensions Mascara (what a mouth full). It's super lengthening and separating, but not thickening - which is my personal preference.

-Sephora or MAC?
Sephora! (I wish ulta was included in this :)) I just like the variety of products compared to MAC , although MAC has great products as well.

-Do you have a MAC Pro-card?

-What makeup tools do you use in make up application?
Mostly Real Techniques.

-Do you use make-up base/primer for the eyes?
Always. My eyelids become super oily throughout the day. I love the Too Faced Shadow Insurance and Urban Decay Primer Potion. I'm sure you've heard of both of them!

-For the face?
Hmm sometimes. If it's going to be a super long day, I use the Urban Decay All Nighter Spray before and after my makeup, and before foundation I like the Shiseido Refining Makeup Primer.

-What is your favorite eyeshadow (color or shade)?
Is this question even legal?! Ahhh well I'd have to go with the Covergirl's Tapestry Taupe because it's super cheap and great quality.

-Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?
Liquid all the way! Milani, Maybelline, and L'oreal make some great super black and long lasting ones. From time to time I will use the NYX Wonder Pencil in Light on my waterline to make me look more awake.

-How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?
Not too often - only when I tightline which is pretty rare.

-What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?
I think they are always so pretty, but for everyday it takes longer to use.

-Do you use mineral makeup?
I actually haven't tried that yet!

-What is your favorite lipstick?
Clinique's Black Honey Lipstick. I rarely wear lipstick though.

-How about lipgloss?
NYX Mega Shine Gloss in Natural

-What is your favorite blush to use?
Cream - NYX blush in Natural Powder - MAC Mineralized Skin Finish in Cheeky Bronze (was limited edition but is apparently now permanent!!)

-Do you buy your makeup on ebay?

-Do you like drugstore makeup?
YES. So much.

-Do you go to CCO's? (cosmetic company outlets)
Yes, most of my MAC products are from there! I talk more about it in this post.

-Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?
Yes I have in the past, but not so much anymore.

-Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?
Only when I'm in a hurry or it's 5am..aka almost everday in high school..

-Name a makeup crime that you hate?
When there's way too much black eyeliner on the waterline and lower lash line - it's just really harsh sometimes.

-Do you like colorful shades of makeup (lipstick, eyeshadow) or neutral ones?
I'd say I like mostly neutrals, but a pop of color is always fun.

-Which celebrity always has great make up?
Nina Dobrev, Sydney Sierota, and Lily Collins!

-If you could leave the house using just ONE make up item, what would you use?
Mascara, no doubt.

-Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?
Yes only when I have to, otherwise I'll just wear mascara and eyeliner.

-Do you think you look good even without any makeup on?
Sometimes - it depends on the day if my skin looks tired or not.

-In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?
Wow this is hard, but I'd have to go with Tarte or Benefit. I only own a couple of their product though because they are on the pricey side.

-What do you think of Makeup?
For me, it's so much fun to just play around with. There's so many things you can do, natural or crazy colors or a darker look. Although, I do think no one should ever feel like they need a whole face of makeup every day because that's just not what you actually look like!

Well if you read the entire post, congratulations! I hope you enjoyed this beauty questionnaire, and it was so much fun to write. I tag all of you!

Love always,
